About Ripstop Media
Built on the trail.
A documentary project born from years of walking long distances in wild places.
How it started.
I started walking long distances because I needed to slow down. The first proper trek was the West Highland Way in 2019 — eight days in the Scottish rain, carrying too much, learning as I went. By the end I was hooked.
Over the next few years I walked in Iceland, Italy, France, Switzerland, and Wales. Each route was different — different terrain, different weather, different demands — but the experience of being out there for days at a time, moving under your own power, was always the same.
Ripstop Media is my attempt to document that experience honestly. Not the curated version — the real one. The blisters, the wrong turns, the moments when the cloud lifts and you see something that stops you in your tracks.
I shoot on a small mirrorless camera and a phone. I write in the evenings in the tent. The goal is to make something that captures what it actually feels like to be out there — for people who've done it, and for people who are thinking about it.
What I carry.
